Tampons=Excruciating Pain!...for the first time?

Alright, so i tried on my first tampon today with the Gentle Glide applicator.
Omg! It hurts so much!
I know i put it in wrong. I couldn't push it within farther than half way. I feel like my vagigii was going to rip!
Can someone enlighten me what I must do?

P.S. I wanted to go swimming =,(

Answers:    You might hold put it in your urethra. I know, as embarrassing as it is, I certainly did that the first time I tried putting in a tampon, and gave up because I couldn't digit out why it wasn't going it and why it hurt so bad! If you think that could possibly be the defence, try again, a little farther back. It shouldn't be PAINFUL. It might be somewhat uncomfortable until you get used to the grain of it, but it definitely shouldn't hurt bad. (I'm 23 and I STILL aversion how they feel going in AND coming out!) Good luck!.
When you put it within, you need to relax or it's going to hurt. The muscles down there are probably really tight from the nervousness. Another thing that help me my first few times were to use vaseline on the tip, but since you are using a gentle skate applicator, the end of the tampon won't be exposed in any means of access. You might have put it into your urethra (where urine comes out) instead of your vagina
RELAX before you put it surrounded by. vaginal muscles are surprisngly strong and they need to be relaxed before you insert a tampon. rinse your hands and take a couple of reflective breaths. make sure you are using the lowest absorbancy needed and try using a mirror so that you can see exactly where to put it. i used a mirror the first couple of times and it help.
yes you got it in wrong, and probably get one that was two big, did you get the slender ones?

Relax it does whip slight practice, you could try lying a towel on you bed and inserting that way. Or reread the instructions that come with it.

Last if your hymen is still intact later maybe that is the resistance you are coming up against..
Well.. it doesn't hurt unless you put it within wrong.

Also, try using a smaller sized tampon. They make light, regular, and bulky sized ones depending on how heavy your period is. Try using a light/regular one if you haven't already..
this may nouns very weird, but it have worked for me and my friend. try putting your foot up on a counter, a pretty weird position, but then try it. have your foot that hight and opening everything up makes it easier. thats how i well-educated. Sometimes, putting it in straight up will hurt. Try putting it in at a slant. Also, try the smallest absorbancy (regular or junior) so the tampon is thinner..
