Did your boobs shrink or acquire bigger after toddler?

Most people say they shrink. Is it heritable? Do people who's mom's had gotten bigger does that fetch to them? How does this work?

Answers:    Like most of the women who answered this question, unfortunately, my boobs shrank significantly after my pretty daughter. I went from a full D to a small B. :(
Its not hereditary, the instrument stretch-marks can be. Here's how it goes:

Your breasts get bigger during pregnancy because of the hormone change. While I was pregnant, my bra-size jumped to a lovely DD...Ooh la la :) I be happy with my lovely boobies. Then, after labour, and after your baby starts nursing, your breasts become engorged with milk. They'll capture even bigger and fuller (and it kind of hurts at first, too. Try sticking a leaf of red cabbage over your breasts when you become engorged...it sounds wierd, but it help the pain!)
After engorgement, your baby and you will find a obedient nursing routine, and your breasts (in my experience) will resemble, in size and fullness, your pregnancy-boobs. (They might be a touch bigger or fuller, but if you're nursing on-demand, they shouldn't become engorged again.)
After you're through breastfeeding, your milk will dry up and, sadly, this is when the shrinking happen. Think of it like this: When you blow up a balloon to its maximum capacity, it looses its firmness when you deflate it. This is similar to what happen with your breasts. The skin surrounding the boobs also had to support pretty a bit of extra during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so where your boobs attatch to your chest gets rather stretched too, causing them to hang differently and not be so perky. (For some moms, but not everyone! That's what happen to me, but there are some women who were massively disciplined about supportive bras and excersise during pregnancy and don't lose all their "perk.") So, to re-cap, you've get a few things working against breast-lovliness here:
1. Strechted to maximum capactiy, then deflating to regular size short so much to fill them up; You now enjoy the same ammount of skin you did while breastfeeding, but have seriously less to fill out the skin.
2. Skin attatching your boobs to your chest took a tangible beating, so they don't hang as other and may sag.

I hope your boobs don't take matching abuse mine did, but I did breastfeed exclusively for six months. If I hadn't done that, my boobies may still be a lot nicer to look. However, my daugher is 26 months dated and has only be sick once since birth. All the antibodies in breastmilk and the lack of harder-to-digest proteins that can be found surrounded by formulas (they try to get as close to breastmilk as they can in formula-production, but it simply can't quite be done) have given her a actual head-start healthwise. Yeah, your boobs likely won't be as perfect as they be pre-baby...but when you look at your perfect little creation, you won't care as much anymore...And you could other ask for all your family member to throw a little money in a collective pot call, "Mama wants a new set a knockers" for every xmas and birthday present they find you until you have enough! Hmm, I surmise I may ask my family about starting my new-boobs fund.
If you do not lose the counterweight obviously they will stay bigger. They do have a drift to shrink if you do not breastfeed. They will stay gorged with breastmilk if you do, but when your baby stops feed they will shrink down. As with any other part of your body, when you gain substance and lose weight breasts can sag some. Only if they rap on a pile of weight. All womens boobs end up tattered and sagging after pregnancy, you just enjoy to wear REALLY good proper fitting bras and exercise under instruction previously and during pregnancy and after the baby is born. If all women wore proper fitted bras adjectives their boob life time they would have beter boobs after childbirth..
It really depends on what you're doing. If you're breastfeeding possible likelihood that your breast will shrink and start sagging.

I can only relate you what I did. I didn't have big breast before have children, so after I had each one of my children, I use to wear a sports bra afternoon in and day out. It trained my breast to stay up a perky and presently I love what I have and so does my husband.

But then it adjectives depends on you. If you had nice breasts before have a child and if you want to keep them that way, do what I did. .
Yes they shrink after have the baby because of the milk if u brest feed or pump. Well some ethnic group dont pump there boobs or brest feed so yes in that boobs are going to be a little bigger. They generally draw from bigger and will sttay big if you breast feed. Just make sure to wear a bra at ALL times or they will start to hang down..
Usually the shrink and due to size change, sag or hang down. Sorry to say, they get smaller, and smaller amount firm :-(.
