I've been having sharp, stabbing pains within my lower right side for months now. The doctor had me dance in for an ultrasound after blood and urine samples tested regular. She messed up the instructions, though. She told me I couldn't eat or drink before it. Turns out she ordered a pelvic exam to be done, which requires that the long-suffering drink a TON of water beforehand. So I had to drank 4 eyeglasses of water and wait 45 minutes until they did the ultrasound. Everything turned out commonplace.

I'm wondering if it's possible that they missed something...? They didn't do the transvaginal part because I had vulvodynia, extreme vaginal dull pain. I'm thinking I should ask for a Cat scan.

I suppose it is possible that something could have gotten missed. I would consult your doctor about this though because adjectives this testing can be very expensive. Maybe you should wish a second opinion from a different doctor before going ahead near the CAT scan. Good luck.

yes they could have missed something. depending on how full your bladder was and if anything be covering the area. I had extreme vaginal misery and they did a transvaginal ultra sound the second time and i had two cyst.
