Birth Control Question?

Ok, heres the scoop. My girlfriend quit her job a month rear legs and hasnt found a new one yet. Along next to losing her job, she lost her health insurance. Our problem is that her birth control is something like to run out, and i'm sure that without health insurance, it'll cost a rediculous amout of money. Now, I be wondering the best way to get birth control. I know you can buy over the internet, but is it secure? do you need a prescription? I think she have refills left, but in need insurance now, it'll cost more right? What about planned motherliness? could we get it cheap through them? I'm just looking for information, and any will be compassionate and appreciated. I know theres condoms, and no sex, and everything, but I know its not good to go on and bad that stuff. I'm just not trying to be a dad yet, so any info will relieve. Thanks.

Is bleeding after sex usual?

Your local health dept. will give you free birth control. Yes, planned maternity should give you free or at low cost. You should have no problems getting birth control short insurance, as long as you don't get it thorugh your doctor. It is really great that you are looking out for her, and you are aware that you are not ready to be a dad. Good luck! =D

Apple or Pear shaped?

Yes she can take it from planned Parenthood or the local heath clinic it wont cost much and they can even do any annual exams that she may need.

I would not trust buying any medication off the Internet I would that for one that would be unsafe and two that it should be illegal

I'm sorry to hear she lost her post.

Hey, im 16 & own be have sex for close to a year, im outstandingly sure i am risk-free but am worried slightly.?

Okay, your local free health clinic will supply her with birth control. Just dance to them and use condoms until you get her back on it and even after she starts taking them again (that is if she have to miss a few pills) use a condom for at least another week to insure she is protected from pregnancy. Good Luck

Is it ok to use a tampon when u r pregnant?

planned parenthood for sure. At most minuscule you have your head on straight.

What have happen to my sex drive?

If she currently have a prescription with refills still gone, she can buy her pills at any pharmacy, but yes it will likely cost much much more.

While I don't know what birth control she's on, generic is always cheaper, but nearby isn't always a generic available for every type of birth control. For instance, I'm on Yaz, a brand name birth control. On drugstore.com full price Yaz costs $57.99 per pack or $153 for 3 pack. There is no generic available for Yaz. Tri-Nessa (a generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen) costs only $27.99 for one pack and $68.97 for 3 packs.

You can look into a local women's condition clinic such as Planned Parenthood, however, in order to grasp a discounted rate (or even free) she will likely need to become a lenient first, meaning she'll need to hold a new exam and get a latest prescription from that clinic (this has been my experience near Planned Parenthood). In the end, this may be a cheaper option than buying full price, it'll newly be a hassle getting an entirely new exam and prescription. Definitely give a clinic a telephone call and find out what options they offer.
