I started exactly a week late yesterday. Everything be normal yesterday. I have very brawny bleeding and cramps, which I always do the first morning I start. However, today, my blood has turned brown, but the bleeding is still benevolent of heavy. Why did it turn brown so hurriedly? Usually, it doesn't start turning brown until after about four days. Could it be similar to that because I started a week late?

Answers:    Dark brown period are just older. I had that when I first get my period. My period are still dark. My doc said it's only just that its old, and it took a while to flush out.
