I'm have a breast biopsy tomorrow is it sore?
Answers: Depends on the type. If it's a needle biopsy, it might sting a bit, and if it is a lumpectomy, you'll enjoy some soreness, bruising & maybe some bleeding from the incision site.
What benign of biopsy?
I had a stereotactic core biopsy and while it wsn't tight, it did feel awkward. I know I'd be lying on my stomach for the entire time so I wore comfy sweat pants. I listen to my ipod to block out any disturbing medical comments. I wore my 'lucky' socks, too-lol. I also took an ativan or 2 which my doctor had prescribed for me ahead of time. All total, mine took 2 hours from the time they call me back to returning to the waiting room.
I feel a lot of pressure during the procedure but no dull pain until it was finished and afterwards they gave me an rime pack and told me to wear a sports bra for a couple of days straight.
Make sure you tell them to numb you amazingly good if they expect you to lay still.lol.I warn my docs that I would jump if I feel anything and they numbed me three different ways.
