PAP Smear. GF doesnt want sex before or after. Normal?

All. My GF is due for a PAP smear check subsequent week. She say doctors support her not to enjoy sex for a week back and after. Is this correct. I know it freaks her out but would prefer if she be honest beside me more or less not her reason for not wanting to own sex. Is it common for a woman not to want sex in the past and after smear try-out?
