Can the Dr. charge for 2 visits if I only went once?

I have an appt for a Well Woman exam so that i could gain birth control rx renewed. Since I be a investigational long-suffering, I have to teem out a questionaire. In it I stated that I be a smoker. We spent 45 mins discussing cessation programs in the past even starting my annual exam. 2 mos then, I receive a bill from Dr's organization because they charged 2 visit and my insurance lone covers one annual preventative exam. I be nearby for ONE pop in, but the Dr. say because we talk going on for smoking cessation, it be two visit. Is this allowed? I didn't run at hand to quit, I go for birth control pills! The one and only plea we talk around smoking be because THE DOCTOR initiated the conversation. Had she told me I would be charged 2 visit, I would own open-handedly decline counseling on how to quit smoking. The billing department refuse to transfer the code and the dr's bureau have be unresponsive--they enjoy not even returned any of my phone call.

Uhh NO not right.telephone your insurance company they can write it stale...who care if you talk going on for the stars contained by the sky, it give them no right to double charge you!

I dont give attention to specifically allowed. That is a really crappy doctor to charge for two visit. You be nearby for a very well womens check up that can cover anything. I would def. detest that charge. That is without doubt ridiculous!

sounds crazy to me! Doctors shouldn't be capable of charge you for counseling you.Did you try conversation to an organization planner, or the doctor. Also see what your insurance company have to voice, explain the situation to them. Don't contribute up, you shouldn't hold to take-home pay for something you didnt ask for.
