Do you really have to get saline implants changed after 10 years? If not, what will happen?
Answers:
It depends. If they haven't ruptured, developed capsular contracture, shifted and are cause no cosmetic or physical problems, next no. Saline can't wound you, but silicone implant look better. There is a newer type of silicone cohesive gel implant which doesn't seepage if it ruptures, as the silicone is approaching a 'gummy suffer' consistency. HTH : )
They can rupture and consequently one boob (or side of anything you get implanted) will suddenly be much smaller than the other. And any foreign substance surrounded by your body could potentially hurt you, depending on your body's recoil to it.
