Girl Question!!?

Ok so, I'm 19 years old and I enjoy been to the gynocologist at lowest possible once a year since I was 15 or 16 years outmoded. However, I have never have a pap smear or a pelvic exam. Everytime I go within there, she does a breast exam, asks me if my period have remained regular(yes), asks if I enjoy any abnormal discharge(no), asks if I'm sexually active(no), and asks if I requirement any refills on my birth control pill (on it to save my skin clear). Once I answer all of those question like that she let me leave. Is this usual? Am I not getting a pap smear or a pelvic exam because my answers to those questions don't warrant them? Any answers you pass me will be great. Thank you in finance! :-)

You start getting pap smears once you become sexually involved, therefore as you say-so you are not, the doc doesnt worry roughly speaking askng you if you need a pap smear.

Yes if your not sexually moving or have a clan history of ovarian cancer etc at a very immature age in your house. They will not give you a pelvic.

Most doctors won't make a contribution you a pap smear until you turn 21 or you become sexually active. Whichever comes first. I wouldn't verbs about it. You don't want one anyway.

Why after havin a toddler dose your period go and get heavyer and painful?

That seem odd. Generally, some doctors don't do exams for young-looking girls because they really aren't necessary, but by the time you are 18, it really is neccessary. Just because your answers to the question seem approaching there is nil wrong, does not mean that you shouldn't gain a pap smear, etc. I think you should particularly ask for an exam next time. It seem quite abnormal that she hasn't done one yet.

When did u start your period?

Your doctor may imagine since you are not experiencing any problems or are sexually active that you don't want a pap test. If you are worried ask your doctor why.

I believe it is because you are considered low risk--i.e., you are not sexually active (congrats on this) and you are underneath 30.

If you have never have a vaginal penetration afterwards your doctor dosen't think you obligation one. I got my first pap when I be 21. They scrape some cell off the cervix to check for infections and atypical cells. I'm sure your fine.

I would ask your gyno why you aren't getting a pap. When you were 15 or 16, I can big-hearted of understand.
A pap doesn't simply have to do next to sexually transmitted diseases, it's also to test for any possible cancer cell that have grown. If you are a virgin, it may be that she doesn't want to break your hymin. If she hasn't done one by the time you are 20, I would manifestly request a reason...or it may be time for a unusual gyno...

I started getting Paps BEFORE i was sexually moving (and I was BC too until that time I was sexually active) and I walk every year just to be protected. She may not think its indispensable but I think if it bothers you after you should call and grasp one. I dont think it matter if you are sexually active or not. If you would hold better peace at mind to get one next do it. It does no harm (but it is uncomfortable) and its better to be undisruptive than sorry.

it's ok. A pap/pelvic is recommended by the Health Dept only after 2-3 of human being sexually active or whe you turn 21, whichever comes first. So its ok. The just reason you'd entail a pelvic now is if you have a yeast infection.

if you are not sexually active within is no need for a pap. She will break your hymen.
