PCOS and METFORMIN?

I am experiencing infertility, my husband and i have be trying for a baby immediately for a little over a year near no luck, i decided to run and see an infertility specialist whom after two visits diagnosed me next to PCOS.
I thought it wasn't possible i had no symptoms except the infertility and absense of periods.. But i did, he have done some blood tests which revealed that i hold elevated testosterone levels and lofty estrogen, everything else was great significance my LH, FSH, Glucose was perfect, He told me he would like to put me on Metformin, i hear it can restore ovulation and improve probability of conception, possibly decrease my probability of having miscarriages (have have 3 losses so far, all contained by between 3-5 months along)..Anyways he told me he wanted to do an HSG and a Hysteroscopy befor going ahead next to the medication, the only problem is i cannot afford those procedures at the moment..I know you can carry metformin online but when and how should i use it? when in my cycles? please help!

I hold PCOS and my doctor prescribed metformin to me as well. I started out taking 1 tablet 500mg a afternoon for a week then upping it to twice a time the second week. Its pretty hard on your stomach so I suggest the XR copy. As for the tests you enjoy to be honest with the doctor and report him that you can't afford it. I didn't have any other test aside from bloodwork when I was put on it. At the pause of July my doctor is combining clomid and metformin since we are trying to conceive

how should you use it? As prescribed by the doc. every day. You own hormones fluctuating every day...so you entail to take it every afternoon. Plus...it's something you build up the dose on...so only taking it reliable times isn't probably a good theory.

I hope it works for you. MET SUCKED for me so I stopped and am having great results beside a naturopathic doctor now.
