I have a total hysterectomy at 30 years old, I am immediately 35. Dr. said 6 to 8 weeks to get pay for to "normal". I went rear to work after 4 weeks, I wasn't ready, physically equipped, but not mentally ready... I would newly start cry for nothing and I stingy nothing. I also gain about 45 pounds. Just bring in sure YOU are ready, not a soul will know but you if you are ready or not. Oh yeah, beware of the hair you will grown on your chin, its weird I will see one here and nearby they grow over night, so other check before you budge anywhere if you have any chin hair, sorry I hate spike on my face. It feel the same down here, but you will go through the foreboding of not being a woman, newly an "it" because of losing all your stuff. Dr. put me on hormone pills, i took them for a while, they made me a total B*h, and I be crying more and Dr. didn't know what else to do with me, so I only stop taking them. I don't have any problems immediately, expect for the hair on my chin, but pluck pluck pluck and I am correct to go. perfect luck to you.
I had one 10 years ago at the age of 25. It be painful for something like 4 weeks, but got better. Everything feel the same afterwards, but the hormones be the difficult part. I be on hormone replacement therapy, but it wasn't working okay. There's alot of controversy over whether to take them or not, but it of late worked better for me not to. I had a rock-hard time with hot flashes, but they be less frequent after I stopped taking the hormones, and are pretty much gone in a minute. Intimacy doesn't feel different any. You'll be fine, but it's a process. I hope everything works out for you!
I had a total hysto. It took me in the order of 6 weeks to heal powerfully and really be able to do everything I be doing before lacking pain. But.. it be worth it. First few weeks are very, greatly painful. Make sure you enjoy someone home with you to do everything for you. Only thing you will be capable of do at first is go spinal column and forth to the bathroom, and the first couple days you may need lend a hand for that if your bathroom is not really close by.
I answered another question on hystos for the daughter of a woman that be going to have one. Look surrounded by my answered questions. There is deeply of info there something like what to expect after the surgery.
As for what it feels resembling, at first it feels really abnormal and painful. But presently it is no different. And I had fibroids so the strain is gone now and obviously the great thing.. No More Periods! Yippee!!
I be premenopausal. Had hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, my period were adjectives off kilter. My ob/gyn tried to have a chat me into HRT. My PCP told me it would be really foolish as the side effects are very unpromising. So I did not go on it. I'm glad. After the surgery adjectives of my side effects went away. He said they would draw from worse but they didn't. I feel profoundly better.
Best decision I ever made concerning my health.
