I would recommend that you bring some extra TP and a couple of ziplock lots. Wrap up your used tampon, put it in the zippy, and stow it away till you can get hold of a chance to dispose of it properly within the garbage. No problems. This is what I've done when I've gone camp and had my extent.

You shouldn't even put your tampons surrounded by a normal toilet - it's bleak for the plumbing. You should should put them in the trash. They will have a trash can or daypack there won't they? (you can only wrap them in toilet daily to be polite so others who might look in the trash won't see the blood).
