Don't use any mode of lotion or cream. And don't wax either. (It hurts!) Make sure you're using a clean razor to obtain a good, close shave. And try using a shaving gel made for sensitive skin. Apply firm but not excessive pressure when shaving. After shaving use a medicated powder. (Lotions and creams can kind razor unthinking worse.) If you're new to shaving, donate it time. You're skin is sensitive, and you're getting a rash as a result of shaving. Eventually your skin get used to shaving. Good luck!

I merely put on really good lotion - not similar to Bath and Body Works stuff, even though I love their products, but dermatoligist reccomended stuff like Lubriderm or Curel. You can find it at Target.
