It depends on the type of situation that you have. Most doctors grant you 6 weeks. But keep surrounded by mind, it takes much longer than 6 weeks for you to completely treat. You may be able to make a light duty career but nothing strenous (lifting, etc.) for at least possible 3-4 months
I would say 4 weeks.
My aunt just have one not too long ago I think she be out for 4-6 weeks maybe not that long.
