I am a nursing mom who has not resumed a term for 7 months now. I am have relations and was wondering if I needed to continue for the iud

Even though you are nursing and still own not had a term, you can still get pregnant (if you aren't using any protection). I be nursing and hadn't had a period when I have mine inserted. I had Mirena inserted at 6 weeks post-partum because I considered necessary to make sure I didn't hold an "accident". It has be great, because I know we are safe, and I never have another period. There is no medical drive to wait, as the IUD doesn't interfere near breastfeeding. Contact your doctor and have it inserted as soon as you can.
