Can this be because of birth control or am i pregnant?

i started my first pack of birth control at the end of my term last month and presently this month i just get a light brown discharge and i come up with some of my uterine lining for similar to two days.

can this be because of the pill
or am i pregnant because i am sexually active
or perchance theres just something wrong next to me

but i think i would resembling someone else's opinion on the matter
