What is the difference between a biopsy and a Lumpectomy?

Answers:    A lumpectomy removes only the lump contained by order to biopsy it. A biopsy is when they filch it to the lab to determine if it is cancerous.
A lumpectomy only removes a portion of the breast - the tumor. A mastectomy removes the entire breast. Depending on the extent of the cancer within the breast, a lumpectomy or mastectomy can be done.

A biopsy is when they remove a small piece of tissue to test.
