Am I too young to own an overactive thyroid?
I am 15, and I have a family circle history of overactive thyroids. I have be having episodes that I originally thought be panic attacks. I be doing some research about them on the internet, and read that sometimes family with an overactive thyroid mistake their syptoms for frenzy attacks. In my family, it roughly affects the women over 35-40 years old. I did hold a first cousin that was in the region of 20 that had an overactive thyroid. Is this a possibility for me?
P.S. most of the symptoms for overactive thyroid describe the symptoms I enjoy, except it said that people that hold an overactive thyroid have an increase in appetite. I enjoy a decrease contained by appetite, because my throat gets tight and I get the impression like I can't swallow. And I sometimes capture diarhea and my stomach gets upset.

Thyroid blood tests are exceptionally simply done by your doctor, and with your inherited history, you definitely should hold one done immediately. Autoimmune disorders close to thyroid issues DO run in family, and if you have the symptoms, obtain tested now. Your relations members could own had it for abundant years before self diagnosed, it's one of the most undiagnosed and widespread condition conditions for women. I was diagnosed near hyperthyroidism in my mid thirties but who know how long I had it in the past then...my doctor approved to test me base on symptoms just close to yours. The sense of choking in your throat makes it even more credible your thyroid gland is enlarged, as it sits right over your throat. Don't wait any longer to be tested. Untreated thyroid issues can be highly dangerous, cause mental disorders and heart problems and all kind of things. Good luck, and luckily there are medication and surgical interventions to deal beside most thyroid issues very successfully.

When my grandma get married she had an 18" waist...this be a result of the thyroid. I am 40 and have an underactive thyroid and that is to say considered young. But you should address with your mom and enjoy her take you contained by for a full physical including blood work.Do you only discharge alot beofr you are due to come on !?
No, you are not to young at heart. Some of the symptoms you described are in certainty similar to those described by patients with "overactive thyroids", or hyperthyroidism as it is properly call. Other symptoms may be anxiousness, intolerance to heat, agitation, appendage tremors, headaches, and counterbalance loss.My recommendation is to want specializad medical attention. You should go to an endocrinologist, and enjoy several tests perform to get an accurate diagnosis and ensure proper treatment. Hope this help.
Good luck

A simple blood test will recount you if it is an overactive thyroid. While it is more typical to have problems next in natural life, I have met relatives who had thyroid problems as children.I am a man and I have thyroid cancer, so it doesn't matter what the probability are if it happens to you.
See a doctor and bring up to date him your symptoms and family history.
