Tampon trouble [girls individual answer please]

Ok, so I've only been have my period for like 2 months and the first time it come at the end of the month, the second time it came surrounded by the middle. I'm going on holiday to Center Parcs at the end of this month and obviously they hold like a water park and everything but I'm really worried I'm going to be on my interval. This would all be very flowing for me if I could just wear a tampon. But noooooooooooo. My mother is old-fashioned and believes that I will somehow lose my virginity or procure TSS. Trust me, there's no way of convincing her to let me wear one. So the road I see it is that my only option is to buy my own tampons. Can anyone dispense me a list of good tampons and their prices that hold good absorbency and are comfortable for a first time user. I have a atmosphere to heavy flow. Also, what is the chance I will return with TSS? I'm doubting I will, but still.
If all fails, what will come up if I go swimming without a tampon? I'm NOT wearing a wipe in the pool, and the idea of newly going swimming without anything is gross anyway. i don't want people swimming around contained by my period. =/
Peace and lurve.

Answers:    Lil-lets and Tampax are good brands and are available surrounded by most stores i.e. Superdrug, tesco etc.

They are around lb3 for a box and come with a guide with how to insert them properly and the risks of using them.

It's best getting a multipack next to a range of absorbancies because your flow will change

Good Luck!.
You should really of late be using pads for the first year, then work up to tampons. Believe me, things will be easier and safer. You won't lose your virginity that passageway. And it's very rare for girls to draw from TSS now. Don't swim while you are on you period any. Lil-lets are reaaly good for first time users, as they arent that big.
remember to change them every 4-8 hours.
I wouldnt advocate going with out them becos if you leak it will be VERY VERY embarraasing.

Have a nice holiday :]
.
You stipulation to change your tampons FAR more often than every 8 hours if you want to avoid TSS. 4 hours is probably the max time that I would recommend. There is a really good one on telly, but i cant remember..
Use a tampon - your mother is a little bit rotten her rocker. Ok, I would consider buying any one of the tampax brand..
You can buy lil-lets or tampons from a lot of places, they're not too expensive.
As for TSS always variety sure your hands are clean up to that time inserting or removal and never leave one in for more than 8 hours (less if you hold heavy flow). You seem resembling a kid that has some sense though!

As for your Mum, if she suspects your wearing them and asks how you're able to run swimming on your period just read out

"Well I just have to hope I don't hold any embarrassing accidents!"

Hopefully she might be aware of sorry for you and let you wear them!
Good luck
