Can dieting affect your menstrual cycle?

My doctor put me on medication to help me lose shipment about 5 weeks ago. A year ago I be diagnosed with Thyroid disease and gain a lot of cargo going through treatments to get to the proper dosage of prescription. After everything was leveled out we settled that medicine be the best way to turn to begin losing the counterweight I gained. The tablets has drastically changed my intake habits and I've lost 30lbs already. I see my Dr. every few weeks and run back contained by 2 weeks. My period have never really been "regular" and in a minute it is late. I know I'm not pregnant, so don't suggest it. I'm going to ask my Dr. when I degenerate but I was wondering if anyone have some real info on this. Only favourable, appropriate information posted please.
