I have have the Mirena IUD for 8 months now. Its be pretty good, my period decreased and I didnt even know it be there. However surrounded by the 3 weeks-1 month, Ive had cramps every single time in varying degree. The first week I was have a period so I dont presume that counts but the cramping didnt stop. If I press down on my lower abdomen it feel sore and tender and its slightly swollen. Today the cramping is so bad I surface like I should be have a monster period or something. But theres not even spotting! Nothing!

Sounds similar to the experience I had w/ the awfully same product. It was great for nearly 3 years, and then it become unbearable. Once I have it removed, all of the misery and cramping went away.

Go see your gyne right away! Although IUD's are very protected, there are risks associated beside them. It is possible that the IUD is out of place, which could hold happened while the uterus contracted during your term.
