What are some ways doctors check for infertility?
Unfortunately there isn't a cure as such. My doctor recommended that I run on the pill, but I wasn't keen... roughly it just mask the problem, so as soon as you come off, you'll be support to square one. When I suggested this problem to her, she said it's better just to treat the symptom to some extent than the cause... There are also hormone treatments available, but I haven't really looked into those.
I have a really virtuous book that gave me the belief to try taking vitamins and herbs. I be really sceptical about the effect it would hold, but after a couple of months I really noticed the difference within my periods and nonspecific feeling of well-being. If you don't already drink healthily and get plenty of exercise, presently is the time to start! If you're interested, the book is http://www.amazon.co.uk/nutritional-heal...

Doctors generally treat it with hormones and other meds. Your best bet is to trademark an appointment with your Gyn.The longer you dawdle the more damage to your system it can do.by looseing weight. this requires takeing bithcontrol, person on a diet, and working out alot. also most people near PCOS have insulin resistence, for this insulin sensitezers are prescribed, approaching glucophage ( usually used for diebeties). ill roll a web site beside info on PCOS
Being over bulk is usually the cuase of pcos. that doesnt mean you are obese in recent times different body shapes can handle a certian amount of body oil.. first try to loose around 20 pounds.. that will help alot.. also fertility drugs such as clomid can lend a hand with the twinge and decrease cyst size.

There is no cure for it, so I've be told by doctors, I have one and the same problem, the only approach to manage them is by loosing mass and going on birth control. Even though I'm not overweight and brith control makes me sick. My crust isn't as severe as some peoples so I can manage mine lacking too much problems. But I'm not sure how bad your crust is. I hope you find a way to control your symptomsMedically speaking, PCOS, also known as functional hyperandrogenism, does not hold a cure. However, much can be done to minimize the impact of this syndrome on your life. Possibly, to the point, where on earth it may be viewed as a constructive cure.
Ideally, you should be below the care of a competent endocrinologist, preferably one who have had considerable experience beside this condition. Most medical doctors are not equipped to deal near this condition, including gynecologists, and internists, particularly if within is an underlying condition, e.g., cushing's syndrome, congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
However, there is much that you can do for yourself. Placing yourself on a low carbohydrate diet, and eliminate stress from your life, would be a great. The condition, is at least possible in element insulin driven. Following a low carbohydrate diet will lower your insulin levels. Very commonly PCOS, is accompanied by metabolic syndrome, also know as type two diabetes mellitus. Once your glucose level have risen, your insulin level, most likely, hold already been big for some time.
Elimination of stress is critical, because stress can result in over production of DHEA-S, i.e., dehydroepianddrosterone sulfate. It is the raw things that ultimately, gets converted to DHT, i.e., 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone. It is DHT acting on the androgen receptor on the nucleus of a cell that ultimately cause the symptoms, e.g., hair loss, acne, hirsutism, anovulation.
There are also several supplements, or herbs that may be pretty helpful, i.e., saw palmetto, pygeum and lycopene. These substances are also used to treat, BPH, benign prostrate hyperplasia. PCOS and BPH enjoy much biochemistry in adjectives.
Should you see an endocrinologist, he may prescribe metformin, an anti-diabetic drug that inhibits gluconeogenesis, and flutamide, an anti-androgen. Oral contraceptives have be used in days gone by. However, they tend to cause hyperinsulinemia, which aggravates the condition. The progesterone in the OC also raise androgen levels.
