My friend told me that when she was a virgen she stuck a tampon up in attendance (a little too high or hard) and she begin to bleed. Weird, but hand to god it is a true story.(according to her)

What probably happened is that your friend could hold broken her hymen (the thin stratum of skin that surrounds the vaginal opening). When this breaks (and it can break for a number of reason such as a fall) it can sometimes cause bleeding.
