Tampons and cervical cancer?

A friend of mine had segment of her lower cervix removed for cervical cancer, now she say that she can't wear tampons anymore. Does anyone know if she can still wear them or if she shouldn't since part of her cervix is presently gone.

Periods?

I dont know why they told her not to wear tampons, perhaps her procedure have some type of complication. usually, you can wear them after a leep or cone biopsy, but she should follow her doctors directions.
