Feeling sleepy, sluggish. Can this be menopause?

I'm 43 years old. Until two months ago, adjectives was mundane. Last month my period be 3 days late. This month it's a week behind (negative pregnancy test, btw). Normally I don't entail much sleep but for the last two months I surface as if I'm in a fog most of the time, little gusto, physically and mentally slow, like brain gears are turning in molasses.

Does this nouns familiar to anyone who's be through menopause? I have a history of depression for which I purloin meds, so I'm thinking this could also be the problem. Never had issues beside my period earlier, though.

Thanks for your help.

Brain fog and erratic period is a good sign of perimenopause. Sounds resembling it is starting for you.

Personal question.?

Let's start near definitions.

Menopause is not a process. Menopause is a distinct time and it can on;e be accepted in retrospect, as surrounded by, it's been a year next to no periods and not spotting, so that means of access my menopause.

Perimenopause, however, is a process, one that starts in a woman's impulsive 30's and continues for 15 - 20 years. One possible symptom of advancing perimenopause is or can be irregular cycles.

The best point that you can do is to talk roughly this with your familial doctor. S/he can order blood test to check your reproductive hormone levels, and this might (emphasis on might) bequeath some indication of your status. It can also help to rule surrounded by or out the possibility that this is related to your depression. It could also be both.

One thing that you and every individual who have any type of a chronic illness requirements to remember, however, is that not every symptom that we encounter has to do near that chronic illness. There is zilch about a chronic disease that inures us against other problems. And we also must make clear in your mind that none of our doctors make that mistake.

What do you have a sneaking suspicion that about?
