Concerning PCOS and a doctor's drop by...?

I am 27 years old and newly had insurance cut on for the first time. For years I own suspected I have PCOS. I am finally going to the long awaited doctor's appointment this morning to own a routine PAP smear and discuss my issues. Please advise a polite, respectful agency to bring this up and talk in the region of it without the doctor thinking that I hold diagnosed myself. My mother has PCOS and I plan to detail the Dr. that first. Thanks for your help!

Has anyone ever have an ingrown hair on their bikini queue? how did you treat it?

This can be a difficult situation.

This will be an opportunity to see your relationship with the doctor. I would recommend you in recent times politely say, "My mom have PCOS,and I am exhibiting some of the same symptoms, could you relieve me rule it out, or, if I do have it, treat it?"

Plain and simple, minus going into too much. This will allow him to come back and read out "Tell me about your symptoms."

Good luck near the health insurance... Are you eligible for COBRA benefits?

Help Please!?

If you convey the doctor your symptoms, he should be able to diagnose it himself. On the other foot, dont be afraid to be upfront about your concerns. Doctors are near to help you. If the doctor is sulky by anything you have to right to be heard, then you should find a bright one!

How long does it take for birth control to work?

I hold PCOS and if you have some of the symptoms only just tell your dr. what they are and yes it will relieve telling him/her your mom have it. I didnt know it was or could be inherent. I will be curious to hear what type of treatment they recommend for you since I have tried alot of things and go to alot of different dr.

Girliess, what's the best way to tone legs and lose a bit bit of a tummy?

I agree with the others...also if your mom have it you and your sisters or your daughters are very promising to have it as ably. It is hereditary. I be diagnosed several years ago with it. A lot of doctors are not comfortable with it and I've have to change four times until I found one that know how to treat it.
