The first step is college... Major surrounded by whatever interests you. Typically society major surrounded by a science-heavy field (chemistry, physics, or biology for example) as medical school require a certain number of science prerequisites.

However, if history is your basic interest, this may set you apart from the standard pre-med crowd. Your specific major is not as defining as your GPA and your outside activities.

After college, apply (and obtain into) a medical school. This process is long (and complex) and you can numeral out the details. After 4 years of medical school, you apply for an internship and residency in OB/Gyn.

A word to the learned, don't get set on one specific section of medicine a short time ago yet. Once you are surrounded by medical school, you win a chance to see copious forms of medicine from anesthesiology to internal pills. Leave your options clear.

know your sciences. central in anything in college, at hand is no such thing as a premed trunk. most people pick biology create its easy but near are 1000s of applicants who major within biology. you want to stick out in medical arts school, so pick something else. once you get official into medical school you will own a better idea of what you want to do.

Seek advice from guidance counseler rash and make sure you stay on track , try to work for a group of physicians while contained by college as you will need counsel letters to capture into med school even if your grades are tops!!
