No it is not safe and sound. You should never take medication that be prescribed for someone else. What if you have a severe impulse to the type she is on. You doc needs to examine you first and afterwards decide if birth control is appropriate for you. You may hold some medical condition that would prevent you from being allowed to use the pill.
