Questions around surgical menopause.?

I had a hysterectomy simply shy of my 31st birthday. I woke up in the hospital have hot flashes.

Nine years later, I'm still suffering from hot flashes, dark sweats, low libido, and mood swings. Does this ever get better?

I be taking HRT that addressed adjectives of the above issues, and kept me pretty comfortable most of the time. However, because of the risks associated with HRT, my doctor took me sour of it.

After bawling and squalling to him about how miserable I be, he agreed to put me back on duplicate medication, but at half the dosage. Well, I don't even pilfer it half the time, because it's not doing me any devout.

My question here is does it ever seize better?

Hi Sandy,

I too am surgically menopausal and I struggled for 5 years until I discovered natural progesterone and it took adjectives my symptoms away. It has be 4 years now and I am still symptoms free. I in a minute run a Yahoo message group if you are interested in learning more and want more support. We hold a lot of benevolent women on our support board.

Has anyone ever had an abdominal myomectomy to remove fibroids?

My mother is going through like thing, I totally feel badly with you, Sandy. If you want to budge the holistic route, try St. John's Wort for your mood swings, it was a miracle drug for my mother. Not sure what to put in the picture you about the other symptoms you own right now...my mother only sleeps with a supporter aiming towards her bed at night even surrounded by the dead of winter to stave rotten the night sweats. Whatever you do, stay away from any OTC menopause meds that enjoy Black Cohosh in it unless you don't hold a family history of cancer, especially women related cancer.
