Whenever I am on, my periods are remarkably heavy and it really does drain me. Any suggestions please?

You could hold iron-defencey*anemia...please go see your doctor.I own the same problems...the first time I have it I ended up have several blood transfusions because my hemoglobin was really low(should be around 13-15)mine be about 6. I'm 27 very soon and have have 17 units. I would not want you to budge through that.Not only is it scarey but it hurts. I option you well.

I have this problem for over a year until i saw my gynecologist just concluding week. I used to get my period every two weeks and it would last from one to two weeks. She put me on birth control and it seem to be working. My mom was a moment or two worried at first because I am only sixteen and she didn't want me to return with any ideas, if you know what I plan. But the doctor made it clear to me that if I did become sexually active that I may stipulation to be put on something stronger. That's just my view. Hope it helps!

hiya, my freind had matching problem with large periods and tremendously bad time of year pains, however you dont mention having headache though. my freind went to her gp, and the gp prescribed her beside contraception pills (allthough she was single and a virgin!). Contraception pills give support to reduce your period and pain, infact once your on them your period go especially light and dont ending very long any, plus you would be totally free of pain. so try and homily to your gp, for some pills maybe.

There are medication to help drain the amount of the blood flow.ask you're doctor for more info though, i'm not entirely sure what it's called (used to be on it but forgot what the identify is)

Pap Smear?

Unless you are interested in getting pregnant, get a Mirena IUS. I had horrendous period that went on for weeks at a time and it stopped them in two days.

What's Menopause?

Visit your GP/Nurse, they will be able to facilitate you, sometimes they may ask you if you would mind taking the contraceptive pill as this can lighten the flow of the time, and the symptoms.
