It is the closest birth control pill to Diane 35, which is not FDA approved in the US (although it is in Canada and Europe!). My doctor put me on Yasmin because I own PCOS and Yasmin has the proper hormones to treat my PCOS. I intuitively love it (but I haven't tried any other kind). It cleared up my skin (I used to have bad cystic acne) and made my facial spine (a side effect from the PCOS) lighter and softer, and easier to pluck. The only down side is that my period last longer than they did when I wasn't taking it. But consequently again, with the PCOS, I solely had something like 4 to 5 periods a year, so the Yasmin help keep me regular. I wouldn't articulate that I 'highly recommend' it or anything, solitary your doctor can decide what benevolent of birth control pill would be appropriate for you. Hoped this helped!

I be on it for 8 months and I never liked it. I be moody and my periods be different...I would spot for 3 or 4 days before I in reality started and then would step for another 5 days. I've been stale of it since the beginning of December and I'm in recent times now getting final to normal.
