When a contraceptive implant is fitted, how long does it steal to work?
Is this true?

I am 28 weeks and two days please help?
Hi, I own the contraceptive implant fitted and it adjectives depends on your position in your monthly cycle.
Usually, if you are within the first 5 days of your period, you will be protected straight away.
If you are at any other time surrounded by your cycle, you should use extra protection for 7 days.
Just make sure to ask them tomorrow and if you're not sure when you catch home, use extra protection. To be honest, I used a condom for 7 days anyway, because it's much better to be safe than sorry!
Oh, and it's such a nouns to have the injection and not want to worry something like protection for the next 3 years :-) Good luck tomorrow!
