well you own to choices...you can wear a tampon...or if it in a couple of days into your spell then it will be ok...i recommend that if it is smaller quantity day 3 to wear a tampon.

How long do I have to hang around after a D&C to go swimming?

No. If you purely started, then you're newly like me! I started only a little while ago and have the same press. I freaked out a ton and I did it anyway. I was fine and didn't bleed approaching at all. Maybe a drop or two but you don't perceive.
