Why are my nipples easier said than done, swollen, and sore?

I am 35 and use the orthro-evra b/c patch. I have be using this patch for the last year an a partly. For the past 6-8 mos. my nipples enjoy become larger, not only that but my breasts be aware of hard and swollen and are sometimes really sore. Several times when they be really sore I have have some small amounts of discharge, usually at night. I hold never been pregnant and never taken any breast expansion pills. My doc(guy) doesnt seem alarmed in the order of it, I'm fairly tight and I work out and eat a respectable diet. What gives?

if it's been going on for the end 6-8 months, and indeed you WERE pregnant, wouldn't you know it? skip the test and attain a second opinion from another doctor and budge from there.
