Periods during pregnancy?

I've heard several women here voice that they had their "period" during their pregnancy. For those of you that have, what made you realize you were pregnant?
Answers:

Any women here that CAN'T hold children?

You do not get a 'length' when pregnant. This is impossible as you do not ovulate during pregnancy. These women may have experienced bleeding or spotting throughout pregnancy. There is also implantation bleeding which occur when the embryo attaches itself onto the uterine wall. All of these kinds of bleeding should be much lighter than a regular interval would be but if your periods are irregular or remarkably light anyway it may be difficult to spot the difference. Sudden changes within your menstrual cycle should warrant a visit to the doc.

What are the probability?

This girl I knew said she have her "period" during her pregnancy and she didn't find out until she started showing.
