I have one about a year ago. It be uncomfortable and slightly uncomfortable. It does not require meds of any sort, so that's good. The recuperative period is a couple of weeks. No inserting anything in the vagina and you will hold some discharge that is truly scar tissue and blood clearing itself from your body. Question for women/ladies?

yes, your cervix is numbed a bit but at hand is cutting and pressure. I don't approaching anything going on down there when a speculum is involved.
They use a brown pulp as an antiseptic and clotting material afterwards. it smells and looks gross afterwards. But it prevents infection. Ask for a brochure because I found that the Gyn wasn't thorough in his roll of preparations (stuff that I needed to know ahead of time).

How do i know if im allergic to a certain brand of condoms?

I have one about 4 years ago and my doctor must enjoy done it VERY wrong, because it was THE MOST uncomfortable experience of my life!! Reading other answers though, it seem that it is not supposed to be. I was not given any instructions prior to, but even if she did they would not enjoy helped the aching. I was not given any local anesthetic to numb the nouns and they are taking a biopsy of your cervix - which is extremely painful! I departed the doctor's office and have to use the public restroom to get myself composed (I be sobbing with backache, shock and hurt). Definitely get full instructions from your doctor beforehand, including the procedures they will be using to get something done the scope.
