Is there a medical name for a girl who feels like she is deformed physically even though she is o.k. looking?
I know this girl and she continually says she is fantastic. She constantly says that individuals judge her base upon her looks and that is really untrue. Many see her as a pretty young at heart lady, however, she see herself as a monster. Many tell her that she is so unenthusiastic, and that she constantly downs herself and she responds with "I am simply telling the truth because I know what I see surrounded by the mirror". I don't know. I don't want to say that she is crazy but its close to come on. Sometimes we are about to progress out and she looks real pretty however, she will look contained by the mirror and then bring depressed. She always say "When I first looked in the mirror I kinda looked righteous, but when I took a second glance I realize how ugly I was". .After this she doesn't want to even step out. She gets so depressed....
Is this ordinary?
Has anyone ever been around someone who behave this way?

Body Dysmorphic Disorder. I have hear about this more and more just this minute. It is sort of becoming the "new craze" if you will. I hold seen these shows be women will go crazy beside plastic surgery because they are so "ugly" and "deformed". I hope she realizes soon she is divine for who she is. I also had a friend that did this but she be just "fishing" for compliments turns out. She is joyfully married now and doesn't do it anymore. Good Luck!!
