Is anyone here using the diaphragm as a birth control method?

Have long have you used it? Have you have any side effects? Is it a hassle? Any pregnancies using it?

I don't use it but my sister have used it as her sole use of birth control for YEARS. She's in her 40's immediately and been married for 13 years. She have not had any pregnancies next to it. Just make sure you attain the right fit and use spermicide. Good luck!

No. I don't have a sneaking suspicion that anyone under the age of 35 have ever even tried it! None of my friends have and some teens haven't even hear of it!

Can you get pregnant even if you hold a condom on?

As a point of reference, a diaphragm surrounded by actual use is only 80% potent in preventing pregnancy. This money that out of 100 people using this method for 1 year, 20 of them will become pregnant. The condom, by comparison, is 86% forceful.

Personally, I HATED my diaphragm. It always feel like something be pressing on my insides, and it could be messy and I was more prone to yeast and bladder infections while using it. And scheduling sex sucked.
And yes I did become pregnant using it (welcome to the wonderful world of statistics). My son is the product of the diaphragm.

Why do my breasts itch?

I am 25 and I get pregnant in August of '05 beside the diaphragm. They even warned me when I get it to use a condom when I ovulated, but since I have erratic period it was enormously hard to figure...now I enjoy a cutie lil' poo monster though!
