HELP ME OUT A LITTLE..please?

I went to the doctor today.
they give me a physical exam.
i am 16 and wanting to get on birth control
they considered necessary me to pee in a cup..
WHAT are they wanting my pee for?
to see if i'm pregnant??...
ALSO
my period are irregular..
what are they all lookin for in my pee
can someone back me out

Why don't you hail as them and ask them for the results on any tests they run? Don't forget--- this is YOUR health, not theirs and you own the right to ask questions and return with your results. Don 't be embarrassed to ask them what they used the urine for and what the results be.
