If you have brown discharge, is it your period or the begininng of it?

i haven't started my period, so is this my actual term or is it telling me i am around to have it?

I don't know your age so I'm guessing. 9-17 years frail. Yes, definately first discharge is your period. Not anything else sweetie! If it is brown, bit approaching jelly...bit gooey brown usually your first period. You probably thought it would be so different! Feel a bit unusual, mostly embarrassed, don't overdo things right in a minute. They don't usually go away! So offer it 5 days. Talk to your Mum ( hope she is there for you) or Aunt/Friends Mum/ Big Sis/ friends sister to bear you shopping for what you need, better still bring it to you first and aid you! Try pads first. Sorry Sweetey, brown usually first signs of period, can be varying shades, quite shade brown at stages too. Eventually this will change shades and colour. Welcome to woman hood. yes you should use a wipe if your going somewhere like conservatory b/c for me it usually means time of year in a few days. its cleaning out the blood from my final period.
