What are the chances of getting pregnant on the depo shot?
I just get my third injection and have strange symptoms. I have bleeding up untill 2wks before my 3rd shot be due. Then it just stoped. It seem as though I cannot lose weight as tough as I try. My belly and breasts are both growing. I have cramping in my lower belly each day somtimes really sharp. I even have a what looks approaching the beginnings of breast milk. My breast are sore all the time. I did hold some nausea off and on in the order of 3wks ago. I am moody and tired all the time. I even took a home pregnancy check which came out refusal. I have adjectives of what appears to be pregnancy symptoms. Is this normal? My doc did not speak about me anything about these symptoms.

Hey I am a nurse and those are normal symptoms. Get online on Web MD and research it. The culture I know who have taken the shot. Have trouble they adjectives gain weight and it is strong to loose it until you stop the shot. They also have no period, and some even bleed all the time. I basically don't see how it can be good messing near Mother nature.

I was on it and did not hold a period. Doctors speak this is normal. Some population get it and some dont. Once I stopped taking it adjectives together did my period come rear. I stopped because the mood swings were merely too much to handle.I'm sick of my thinning fuzz and such with PCOS!?
The estimated failure rate of the Depo shot is 0.3, which manner if 1000 women take it correctly surrounded by one year 1 of them will get pregnant anyway. I've see numbers as high as 3 for actual use, import that out of every 100 women who say they're on Depo, 3 of them get hold of pregnant (or 30 out of that thousand). Some of this might be because people fake, or women don't get their shot prompt, or the dosage given is wrong or they had unprotected sex within the first 14 days after their first shot. You should absolutely clutch a pregnancy test, because some of what you're describing are not adjectives Depo side effects. The Depo will not interfere with a home pregnancy question paper.
As for the previous posters' concerns about not getting your interval, most of them are unfounded or unscientific. If you be to look at "natural" women in a "natural" environment, they scarcely ever bleed monthly. If you're constantly pregnant or breastfeeding, you get remarkably few periods - same as on the Depo shot. The bin liner doesn't have to "jump somewhere" because it just doesn't build up exceedingly much. There is no lining to shift. Some scientists even theorize that uterine and endometiral cancer, which is almost unheard of in third world countries where women spend smaller quantity time menstruating due to pregnancy and breastfeeding, happens so much here because of frequent menstruation, and that skipping period is safer.
While I'm all for "nature", it's simply not true that have a period every month is "natural", and it's not other true that "natural" is better. Garlic is a natural antibiotic. If you have a septic long-suffering, would you rather hold garlic or a broad spectrum antibiotic? I'm an herbalist myself, but I'd rather nick the "unnatural" antibiotic, thanks!
What I AM concerned going on for with long permanent status Depo use is bone loss, or osteoporosis. Some research suggests that the osteoporotic effects of Depo increase the longer you're on it, so I don't know that it's the wisest choice forever. Talk with your doctor around other things, like calcium, magnesium and Vitamin D, as ably as weight pose exercise, you should be doing to keep your bones strong while you're on Depo.
