Vaginal ring in the freezer?
you are suppose to store the vaginal ring in a cool place or frig. my boyfriend is hanging on to it for me n he put it surrounded by the freezer.
does this affect the ring in any way?
Answers:
I'm fairly sure it shouldn't be frozen, and that freezing it could possibly alter its worth since it does release biological material (hormones). However, cold storage within a refrigerator is fine if you just so come up to have so lots rings at once that you wouldn't use some of them under 4 months. When they are dispensed to you from the pharmacist or loved ones clinics they are refrigerated however once they are dispensed to you lower than the expectation of using them internally (body temperature man 37 C, 98 F), they have a shelf duration of 4 months at 25 C (77 F). There is some leeway of mortal able to store them between 59 - 86 F but should not be stored above 86 F. I don't devise it'll do any harm if you choose to put them surrounded by the fridge but its not necessary unless you hold some you're going to keep longer than 4 months. The put money on of the packaging itself have dosage and administration instructions that speaks of this for those who dispense it and down time it should be shelfed prior to giving it to patients at room temperature. Its anticipated you'll be using it right away, which is also why you aren't given a unbroken years supply. But do not freeze it, it cannot be stored in temperature below 36 F (2 C) and your freezer is in the denial temperatures.
