I have a lump in my breast.?
The ultrasound showed a solid mass with calcifications around it. I am planned for a biopsy on April 11. My question is this: Does have calcifications right around the solid mass increase the chances that it is cancer? Or does it really not tight-fisted anything?

I'm a doctor from Romania and I can answer your questions. Usually, small calcifications are not anormal especially if you are not highly young. Thay usually are cause by some little cysts, but usually, if they are around a solid mass, the patient will own to undergo a biopsy. So, these calcifications do not increase the risk of that solid mass of one cancer, but you will know exactly what you are dealing with after a biopsy.

Calm down, don't panic. I go through the same entity last year. They found is be nothing. The calcifications don't connote cancer.They are just calcuim or mineral deposits in the breast tissue.The deposit could enjoy clogged something and made the lump. It is probably just a cyst of some sorts. Thats what mine be.It could even be a clogged milk duct or lymph node that inflammed or clogged.Does breast cancer run in your family? And if it proves to be nought, go for a genetic trademark up, to put your mind at ease. calcifications around a mass means that this mass is nearby for a long period of time.
it may be an abscess or any benign lump.

breast cancer is no laughing matter. I ought to know, I've have it twice.
