I am 27 and justs get back acne?

Yes, you can own PCOS and not be overweight. There are many different symptoms and not everyone have all of them. The best entity to do is make an appointment to step back to your doctor and ask him/her to do some blood work to check your hormone level to see if they suspect PCOS. If you have PCOS, you can be put on Metformin (or other medication like it), which is not a form of birthcontrol, that will build your cycles become regular once again. Good luck!

How to convince my mom(serious question)?

It is possible. See a gynecologist and an endocrinologist for tests. It is really meaningful to see the right kind of docs if you want better results. PCOS really sucks! I hope you do not own it. Out of curiosity, did you take Norplant or Depo? Sometimes I wonder if my PSOC is related to Norplant.

can someone please report to me everything i need to know more or less growing up into a woman?

Well I too have PCOS and my friend told me almost this site. It has a moment or two of everything from diet information to a forum that helps you. Especially if you enjoy FAQ.

For most women, PCOS is actually cause by insulin resistance. The dark patch of skin like the one on your leg are call acanthosis nigricans, and they can be a symptom of insulin resistance. The pill does not treat insulin resistance. Many women with PCOS pilfer metformin (glucophage) for insulin resistance, and they often find that their PCOS symptoms increase because high level of insulin are thought to cause the ovaries to produce too several male hormones. Correcting the insulin problem help to correct their hormone problems. When you are able to see a doctor, you should ask around having a glucose tolerance try-out or a fasting insulin check to check for insulin resistance. A fasting glucose interview (where they just oral exam your blood sugar level) does not detect insulin resistance.

!sex ed. help!?

PCOS be confirmed for me a few years ago after a gynaecologist took a scan showing some cysts on my ovaries. I am slender, and when i was younger i be even underweight. However I am prone to getting a rounded stomach before period or after eating alot. Having a waist-fat distribution stencil can be a sign of PCOS. Of course, other medical conditions could account for symptoms too. My period have almost other been irregular, and regularly even absent, so i rob the pill to artificially induce them. But i have hear that taking the pill for a lengthy time but later stopping could temporarily disrupt the cycle too.
