Rectal exams in conjunction with paps enjoy been going on for MANY years. In totalling, to checking for any rectal abnormalities, this procedure allows the doctor to palpate (feel) the feminine organs by having his fingers lower than the uterus and holding everything steady while he feels the uterus/tubes/ovaries next to his other hand through the tummy. Otherwise, the organs would just "float" away from his foot as he does the exam.

I can testify that this is a very defining exam...not just because I am a nurse, but because a few years pay for my doctor discovered a large mass on my ovary while doing this exam.

My time is getting worse as i get older why?

By pap, did you plan Papanicolau smear?
The pap's smear involves scraping out cervical discharges and smearing that on a verbs slide to send to a laboratory for analysis. This could abet in detecting infectious microorganisms, STD and even rash cancer cells.
Gyne usually own to do a rectal exams so as not to interfere or contaminate with the "sampling" of the cervical nouns through the vaginal area. They could still palpate the uterus through the rectal route for mass, cysts or any other deviant growths also of the adjacent ovaries.
In this instrument , whatever will be collected from the vaginal nouns will not be contaminated by any lubricating gels or powder from the examining gloves.

I am have a womens health open-minded at my school (high school) and Im wondering what and or who should I own?

actually it's pretty common and not at adjectives odd although it isn't other performed. If it is perform you should at least enjoy piece of mind that you are getting higher feature care because it is somewhat of an advanced technique and usually the better doctors are the ones who do it.

Streach results?

A rectal exam has other been done as slice of a pelvic exam. That is how the doctor is able to touch your organs. It has nil to do with a pap smear.
