Where does the IUD go if it is expelled?

If an iud is expelled, would it pass through the cervix? If not, where on earth will it go?
Answers:

An IUD can be expelled out thru your cervix later vagina or it can move up and puncture your uterus.

I've had the Paraguard surrounded by for 9 yrs now and love it. No problems.

Depends on where on earth you were sitting. In the toilet? Yes, if it be expelled (very unlikely) it would come out the cervix, and out of your body..but I think that would be a scarce event.

I wonder alike thing so I call and asked my doctor. They stated it comes out your vagina, if you're on the toliet it'll come out there, within your underwere. It does go from the uterus into the vagina and finally out the vagina.
