He will dispense you a pelvic exam to make sure its not something else causing the infection. no.. i told my doctor and he asked me some question and then got me a one time pill.. i quality better already and its been 2 days!! .
he will do a swab. and, yes, he will have to look at your vagina i don't suppose they will look but they will probably make you give a urine indication..
