I am confused with the contradictions as to when it's okay to not have to use another form of birth control when you start taking the pill(sunday starter). The booklet to my pill( Tri Sprintec---Ortho tri cyclen generic) says it's okay after 7 days days but some people, even some doctors and pharmacists voice wait untill you finish the whole pack/cycle. Why is that? Is that only just paranoia or is it REALLY that the pill isn't as effective or hasn't reached it's full worth after those 7 days as i would be if you wait until after the whole cycle.

Birth control pills can be effective without beating about the bush if you start taking them the first day of you period.
