When I take the pill a couple of days before my period is due, will it stop it coming?

Answers:    Im assuming you mean birth control pills. Having said that, I would think not. If you are on the pill regularly every day as directed, you know that the pills are tapered in the amount of active ingredient in each pill in the pack, that is why you have to take them every day, same time each day, etc. If you are using birth control regularly as directed, I dont think this would achieve your goal. There is a way to hold off your period, but it takes planning and a specific pill schedule which your healthcare provider would plan for you. Do not mess around with the pill. There are serious side effects associated with it and it is not to be taken lightly. Also, if you are single and not in a monogamous relationship, always use a condom. There are things out there that can literally change your life and the pill can't help with that! Good luck, be well, and take care of yourself. .
I took Loestrin, and yes you could suppress your period with it. I read that it's totally safe.
